Where is the altSoU’24 unconference?
The AltSOU’24 events are taking place in at the European University Institute in Florence and online.
How do I register?
The AltSOU’24 will take place in hybrid format with both in person and online options available for most events. Participation is free of charge and open to all. Please fill the registration form to receive online participation links and practical information for in person participation.
How to get to the EUI by public transport?
On Monday 20 & Tuesday 21 May altSoU events will take place in Villa Schiafanoia (morning and early afternoon) and Badia Fiesolana (afternoon and evening). On Wednesday 22 May events will take place in Villa Salviati (morning) and in Badia Fiesolana (afternoon)
From Santa Maria Novella train station (Florence city centre), take bus no. 7 in the direction ‘Fiesole’ and get off at ‘San Domenico 01‘(Note: There are several San Domenico stops before you arrive at the village of San Domenico.) At the stop you will see a bar/pizzeria on your left and a bar/café on your right. Cross the road and turn to the left downhill into via Boccaccio. Villa Schifanoia is on the right‐hand side after about 150 metres down the road (after the road narrows and after the traffic light).
Similar route as for Villa Schifanoia (bus no. 7, stop “San Domenico 01”). From the stop, you cross the road in front of the pizzeria, walk 100 meters towards Fiesole direction, pass bus stop (going to the center) and turn left on via della Badia dei Roccettini. Walk down 250 meters to reach the main entrance (on your left).
From Florence city centre, take bus no. 1A direction “Faentina Salviati” and get off at “Faentina Salviati” (then walk 10 minutes up the hill across Salviati’s garden).
OR alternatively, take bus no. 25 at Piazza San Marco (bus stop “La Pira”) and get off at “Il Cionfo 01”. Then walk 100 metres in the same direction as the bus. The entrance gate is on the right.

Bus tickets (1,50€) are available on the website of Autolinee Toscane website www.at-bus.it (passes, registration required), on the APP TABNET (single ticket, passes), at automated ticket machines at stops (single ticket) and from Authorized sellers(single ticket, passes and 10-ticket strip).
